Terms of Service

The service

Koestler is an adversarial decision partner and an agent action gate: it screens consequential agent actions — file writes, deletions, shell execution, outbound calls — debates them when warranted, and records every verdict in an append-only ledger. Verdicts are decision support. You remain responsible for what you and your agents ultimately do.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed as subscriptions through Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record — your payment contract is with Lemon Squeezy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

Prices are shown exclusive of tax; VAT or sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your location. Plan quotas (turns, gate actions, debates) are described on the pricing page and may evolve. Material changes are announced in advance.

Refunds and withdrawal

Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; amounts already billed for the current period are not refunded pro-rata, except where required by law.

Credit packs are digital content delivered immediately: the credits are added to your balance at purchase. Once any credit from a pack has been spent, the pack is non-refundable and, to the extent permitted by law, you lose any statutory right of withdrawal by starting to consume the content. If a pack is entirely unused, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase at the contact address below.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break, probe, or overload the service, or bypass plan quotas and gate verdicts.
• Operate agents through Koestler for unlawful ends, or submit content you have no right to share.
• Resell or white-label access without our written consent.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is”. Koestler’s verdicts, debates, and analyses are advisory — we do not guarantee that every harmful action will be caught, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where feasible. On termination, your data is deleted on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or in the app before they take effect; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

Operator, governing law and jurisdiction

Koestler is operated by RTFM, an independent solo developer based in the Republic of Korea. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the competent court determined under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, this choice of law and forum does not deprive you of mandatory protections of the country where you reside.
